BIOGRAPHY
A Story Steeped in Sound
Olivia Webber has grown up submerged in music. From the age of 4, she has played the piano, striving to grow and learn as much as possible. Since 2016, Olivia has been writing songs. The genre has shifted from country music to indie/pop. In 2017, Olivia began to take vocal lessons to deepen her comprehension of the voice. Through this, she gained a deeper understanding of vocal technique and stage presence.
Olivia has been an active member of her church since 2017 when she began to lead worship in the youth group on Wednesday nights. From 2017 to the present, she has developed the skills of leading a band, leading a congregation, and pursuing the Lord in the form of corporate worship. In High School, she was also the Worship Leader for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes organization, where she was responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing worship every Thursday morning.
In the spring of 2019, Olivia auditioned and was accepted into the Advanced Acapella Group at Franklin Brentwood Arts Academy. This experience taught her skills such as creative collaboration with others, blending with other voices, the importance of facial expression in performance, and how to effectively sing alongside fellow vocalists. Advanced Acapella Group also pushed Olivia to grow individually, seeing that she could watch and learn from others as they performed solo during showcases. With Franklin Brentwood Arts Academy, Olivia had many opportunities to perform in both public and private spaces. Advanced Acapella Group’s most notable performances were opening for Brad Paisley at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, singing at Downtown Franklin’s Pumpkin Fest, and the Christmas Tree Lighting. These opportunities to perform equipped Olivia with both experience and confidence.
In the Fall of 2021, Olivia wrote, recorded, and released her first single, “No Man’s Land” on all streaming platforms. Over the next two years, she released three other singles, “Headfirst,” “Extremes,” and “Therapist.” “Headfirst” was selected to be on the Spotify-curated playlist Next From Nashville, and then later, the playlist New Country. Due to Headfirst reaching a wider audience through these playlists, it has by far the highest number of streams, ranking at over 33,000 streams on Spotify alone. Outside of the studio, Olivia has learned to record herself on Logic Pro X and has created over 20 demos of her original music.
Olivia is now pursuing a Bachelor of Arts at Samford University, majoring in Commercial Music with a Songwriting concentration.
